Cans4Films Festival returns for 2009, and is again committed to providing hunger relief for thousands of Australians across the country.
Cans4Films is again sponsored by Kiandra to offer a consumer driven charity event which not only raises awareness of the need for hunger relief, but also provides tangible aid in the form of donated cans of food to be given to those who need it the most.
The Cans4Films Festival is simple: throughout the month of August, Network customers come into their local participating video store and donate cans of food in exchange for free movie rentals. It really is that easy!
In 2008, Network Video stores and customers donated more than 60,000 cans of food during the Cans4Films Festival, all of which went directly to charities providing hunger relief. This year Cans4Films has a renewed focus on helping local communities and charities, with all donated cans going back into each store’s local community.
