Kiandra have built a software solution that allows road management consultants manage the main arterial roads and freeways around Victoria by Vic Roads and independent contractors.
The software is securely connected to a number of hardware devices including real time GPS for time, speed and position tracking using the NMEA standard, and a number of other real time devices such as Inclinometers for measuring the camber of the road.
While the consultant surveys a road, the software logs data from the hardware devices, as well as recording input from the consultant on a keypad to record information about street signs, street equipment and the road condition.
Utilising fully secured and synchronised local and centralised SQL servers, this solution enables consultants on the road to work just as effectively offline as they do online.
